Cinemas around Swindon

Empire Cinemas & IMAX - Swindon

Greenbridge Retail Park, Drakes Way, Swindon SN3 3EY, UK

Lovely staff. Saw Dunkirk Friday 21 st July -outstanding film but utterly spoilt by the sound being way too high-Don't tell me it is because of i-Max. It was TOO LOUD -like rock concert -we were a large party aged from 21 -62 and we all said the same. Please don't ruin a great film and experience by blasting us, the public ,with so much volume. Do you measure the decibel level ,say in row C?

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean cinema. Imax...well worth using

Cineworld Cinema - Swindon Regent Circus

11 Victoria Rd, Swindon SN1 1FA, UK – 0871 200 2000

The most convenient cinema for those living in the town center area and compared to the other two (West Swindon and Greenbridge retail) this is the best for comfort and is rarely fully booked meaning you can enjoy your film without much disturbance. As one would expect the prices for drinks and snacks like all cinemas is quite inflated and you are better off purchasing something from supermarket below and sneaking it in than paying £3 for a £1 bag of sweets at the counter. For those travelling in from outside of town you will find it cheaper to park elsewhere and walk the short distance to the cinema. I gave this review 4 rather than 5 due to the poor maintenance of the toilet facilities which every time I've needed to use have been clean but still smell awful one would assume they clean it once a month.

Decent Cineworld cinema, as it's quite new all the fixtures and fittings are in good nick. A range of (mostly chain) restaurants nearby mean you can easily combine a film and meal in one location. Parking is ok but not free and the company that monitor it have a reputation for sending out penalty notices to people who stay 1 minute longer than ticketed etc so be aware!

Lovely staff, really friendly. Happy to set up great for you to listen to

Really great place! The store is not big, but has a huge variety of high end product.

Theatres for Swindon

Wyvern Theatre

Theatre Square, Swindon SN1 1QN, UK – 01793 524481

Nice place. Friendly staff. Seats OK if a little cramped but I am very tall. Only real disappointment was having one member of bar staff on so long queues and being charged silly prices for the drinks. Otherwise nice. The show we saw was very funny and really enjoyable. Stage stuff all worked fine and the auditorium was good.

A very good, mid sized theatre. Bar that takes card - pint of cider and a large red wine cost £10.30 (October 2017) Reasonable sized public car park at the foot of the theatre costing £2 after 18:00
